Aging and Disability Resource Center of Portage County

Visit Website

The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Portage County provides Disability and Elder Benefit Specialists to help determine which programs you may be entitled to, help with the application process, and address any denials that you may have received. With so many public and private assistance programs available, it can get confusing for people to understand programs such as Medicare, Medical Assistance, Social Security retirement, and disability benefits, Medicare supplement insurance, FoodShare, and other legal, housing, and financial assistance programs. The ADRC's Benefit Specialists can help take the confusion out of these programs and help cut through the "red tape." Elder Benefit Specialists work with people 60 and older; Disability Benefit Specialists work with people ages 18 through 59.
