When Do I Need to Report Changes to FoodShare?
If you get FoodShare benefits in Wisconsin, you must tell your local agency if: (I would just copy the language in the handbook from 6.1.1), which reads (small changes to make more understandable):
- When your assistance group’s gross monthly income goes above 130% of the federal poverty limits.
- When your work hours drop below 80 hours per month.
- When anyone in your food unit has received a substantial lottery or gambling winning.
- You must report these changes by the 10th of the next month.
How Can I Report Changes?
You can report changes in three ways:
- Online at access.wi.gov
- By mail or fax:

What is Gross Monthly Income?
Gross income means the total amount of money your household earns before taxes or deductions are taken out1.

Other Changes You Can Report (But Don't Have To)
You can also report things like:
- Moving to a new address
- Getting married
- Someone moving in or out of your home
- Your income going down
- You don’t have to report these, but it might help your benefits. If you want to report them, contact your agency.
