The Family Law Information Center (FLIC), staffed by Legal Advocates from Legal Action of Wisconsin, provides services for unrepresented litigants in Portage County family cases to assist with the forms and understanding the legal framework in family law matters. FLIC doesn't represent clients, offer legal advice or opinions, prepare forms for filing on someone's behalf, or make referrals to specific attorneys. FLIC can help with:
- Pre-filing divorce questions
- Information to proceed with a stipulated divorce
- Procedural questions for contested or partially contested divorce
- Guidance for all family cases
- Guidance to change existing orders
- Information about Wisconsin law related to family cases
