Aging and Disability Resource Center of Vernon County

The Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) of Vernon County provides services to adults age 60 and over (Elder Benefit Specialists) and to people age 18-59 with physical and/or developmental disabilities, mental illness and substance abuse disorders (Disability Benefit Specialists) regarding information about public and private benefit programs, including assistance with application and appeal procedures. Benefit Specialists can:

  • Provide accurate information about a wide variety of programs that cover healthcare, food and other household expenses
  • Help you to identify and apply for programs that will best meet your needs
  • Help with an appeal when eligibility or coverage is denied
  • Advocate on your behalf with other parties
  • Refer you to an attorney when necessary

Services can be provided at the ADRC, via telephone, or through a home visit, whichever is more convenient to the individual seeking help.

Other Eligibility

You can see a Disability benefit specialist if you:

  • Are between the ages of 18-59
  • Have a disability
  • Live in Wisconsin

You can see an Elder benefit specialist if you:

  • Are 60 or older
  • Live in Wisconsin
