Veterans Law Center

Visit Website

The Veterans Law Center (VLC) is run by the Dane County Bar Association but is open to veterans and servicemembers living in any county in Wisconsin. The VLC is held virtually, once a month, using Zoom. At the VLC, volunteer lawyers will meet individually with people via Zoom for a consult for approximately 30 minutes. Information, forms, and limited legal advice may be provided but no legal representation is available. The attorney volunteers will be assigned specific dates.

The VLC can:

  • Give information on court procedures
  • Refer you to community resources
  • Provide brief legal advice and assistance during the time you work with an attorney
  • An attorney/paralegal/law student can help you complete forms and provide filing instructions.

The VLC cannot recommend a specific lawyer.
